The CalAmp executive leadership team brings a world of experience.

CalAmp’s strategic leadership comes from a solid base of worldwide experience in technology, from connected vehicles to networking to public safety to energy and beyond. The executive team has years of expertise in both start-up and enterprise environments designing software and hardware for a wide variety of applications.

Jeff Gardner*, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Director Of CalAmp Corp.

Jeff Gardner was appointed President and CEO of CalAmp in July 2020, and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the company since January 2015. He served as Interim President & CEO from March 25, 2020 until July 2, 2020. Previously, he served as the president and CEO of Brinks Home Security. He also serves as a director of Qorvo, Inc., the holding company under which RF Micro Devices, Inc. and TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc. were combined in 2014.

Gardner had been a member of the board of directors of RF Micro Devices, Inc. since 2004. In addition, from 2005 until 2015, he was a member of the board of directors of Windstream Holdings, Inc., a leading provider of advanced network communications and technology solutions, including cloud computing and managed services to businesses nationwide. From 2005 to 2014, Gardner also served as the president and chief executive officer of Windstream. Before joining Windstream, he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Alltel Corp. Earlier, he held a variety of senior management positions at 360 Communications, which merged with Alltel in 1998.

Gardner received a bachelor of arts degree in finance from Purdue University and a master’s degree in business administration from The College of William and Mary.

He is currently an NACD Board Leadership Fellow and NACD Governance Fellow, and he previously served on several national associations including the Business Roundtable and the United States Telecom Association.

Kurt Binder*, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Kurt Binder joined CalAmp in July 2017 as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Binder brings to CalAmp significant leadership and technical experience in finance and business management having worked extensively with multinational technology companies across Europe, Asia, Latin America and the U.S.

Binder has spent the majority of his career in financial leadership positions, including most recently as chief financial officer of VIZIO, Inc., a global consumer electronics company, where he led VIZIO’s accounting and finance, human resources and business planning teams. While at VIZIO Binder was also honored by the Orange County Business Journal as “CFO of the Year” (2015).

Prior to joining VIZIO in 2010, Binder was a coordinating partner in the assurance practice of Ernst & Young, LLP, where he gained over 10 years of experience advising complex multinational companies across the globe.

Binder began his career with Price Waterhouse, and holds a BBA in accounting and an MBA in finance, both from Loyola University Maryland.


Arym Diamond*, Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer, CalAmp

Arym Diamond is senior vice president and chief revenue officer at CalAmp responsible for the customer experience related to sales and support. Diamond joined CalAmp in March 2020 and brings over 20 years of experience in the enterprise software and consulting industry.

Before joining CalAmp, Diamond was part of the sales leadership team within Salesforce.com's Einstein Analytics group where analytics and machine learning were re-imagined for the front office. Prior to that, he spent over 10 years at Oracle in various sales roles, which included being part of sales organizational alignment that came from multiple acquisitions as well as a shift from on premise to cloud-based subscriptions.

Diamond holds a bachelor's degree in international studies from California State University, Long Beach, as well as an MBA from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business.

Jeff Clark, Senior Vice President of Product Management, CalAmp

Jeff Clark is the senior vice president of product management at CalAmp responsible for leading product innovation, definition, design and delivery of end-to-end experiences for CalAmp’s portfolio of telematics systems and emerging Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions. Clark joined CalAmp in March 2020 and brings over 20 years of experience in product management roles across multiple industries.

Before joining CalAmp, Clark was vice president of product management at Automatic Data Processing, Inc (ADP), the industry-leading online payroll and HR solutions provider, where he rebuilt the product organization of a $1.8B Compliance Solution business unit by managing a portfolio of more than a dozen product lines and multiple software and services platforms. Prior to ADP, Clark spent six years at Sage Software as vice president, product design and experience with a focus on the user experience (UX) across multiple global, cloud and mobile-based product offerings. Earlier in his career, Clark led several product teams in the SaaS and connected device spaces at Clearwire (a WiMAX service provider), Toshiba’s Digital Products Division, Amp’d Mobile and AOL, where he helped drive and execute the AOL Anywhere strategy.

Clark holds a bachelor’s degree of science from Michigan State University as well as an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.

Nathan Lowstuter , Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain and Operations

Nathan Lowstuter is senior vice president of global supply chain and operations at CalAmp and responsible for all supply chain and logistics across CalAmp’s global operations and contract manufacturing. Lowstuter joined CalAmp in June 2020 and brings over 20 years of progressive leadership experience in global supply chain, quality control, lean manufacturing operations and project management.

Before joining CalAmp, Lowstuter developed and scaled high-performing supply chains for mid-sized venture-capital and private-equity companies across several industries, including electric vehicles, logistics and event services, solar and commercial refrigeration. Additionally, the foundational period of his career was spent at large Fortune 100 companies including Honeywell (commercial vehicles & aerospace), Boeing (space & communications) and FedEx. He has expertise in building results-driven teams and functional process and system infrastructure to support growth, profitability and customer needs.

Lowstuter earned his MBA from the University of Southern California and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Manufacturing Expert from Honeywell.

Steve Moran, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Steve Moran oversees CalAmp’s global legal affairs, compliance, and corporate governance and secretarial functions as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. Moran joined CalAmp in 2013 as vice president of legal affairs, was elevated to vice president and general counsel in 2015, promoted to senior vice president and general counsel in 2016, and appointed secretary in 2017.

With more than 21 years of experience as a general counsel in both public and private global high-tech companies, Moran has built and led legal teams dedicated to pragmatically assisting companies in successfully achieving their business goals and strategies.

Moran joined CalAmp from Beachbody, LLC, and previously served as the general counsel for Globus Medical, Inc. (NYSE: GMED). Earlier in his career, Moran served as executive vice president, general counsel & secretary, and executive vice president of human capital, for Masimo Corporation (NASDAQ: MASI). Prior to that, he was vice president, general counsel & secretary, and vice president of human resources & administration, for Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. Moran also served as president, general counsel & secretary, and vice president of human resources, for Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL). Before joining Intersil, Moran was vice president and general counsel for Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. Moran began his in-house legal career with ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) where he served in a progression of positions before being appointed general counsel of ITT Cannon.

Moran holds a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Claremont McKenna College and a juris doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. He is admitted to practice law in California, Colorado, and the District of Columbia. Moran also served as a captain in the U.S. Army and later as a lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserve.


Anand Rau*, Senior Vice President, Engineering

Anand Rau is the senior vice president of engineering at CalAmp responsible for all software and hardware product development and quality. Rau joined CalAmp in 2015 and brings 25 years of strategic management experience in delivering enterprise-class, mission-critical applications and platforms across several industry verticals including telematics, supply chain, physical resource management, industrial automation and medical products.

Prior to CalAmp, Rau was the CTO at MarginPoint, a mobile inventory management and supply chain solutions company. Rau also led product development and quality assurance as Vice President of Engineering at Accruent Inc., a leader in the physical resource management vertical. He was also the co-founder and Vice President of Engineering at RiverOne (acquired by i2 technologies), where he led the team that built a supply chain solution that was adopted by companies representing approximately 25% of the global electronics industry. Rau started his career with Hewlett Packard Company in the Medical Products group, and has led the innovation and launch of technologically advanced enterprise solutions serving many markets.

Rau holds Master's degrees in Computer Science and Physics, both from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA.

Justin Schmid, Senior Vice President, General Manager LoJack International Operations

Justin Schmid is the general manager of LoJack international operations and focuses on advancing CalAmp’s connected vehicle strategy. In 2012 he joined the company as senior vice president, marketing and business development and was appointed senior vice president and general manager of telematics systems in 2016.

With more than 25 years of experience in high tech industries, including 17 years in commercial wireless M2M and data communications markets, Schmid has built and led teams focused on sales, marketing, business development, product management, corporate development, strategy, product development, program management and systems engineering.

Prior to joining CalAmp, Schmid served as vice president of sales and marketing at Xirgo Technologies where he developed and implemented a successful channel and partner strategy for the high-growth start-up.

Earlier in his career, Schmid led marketing, product management and business development for AirPrime, which was acquired by Sierra Wireless in 2003. Schmid became head of marketing and business development for Sierra’s embedded module product line and business before joining AirLink Communications as senior vice president in 2004. At AirLink, he led marketing, product management and strategy, as well as business and corporate development. During his tenure, AirLink grew from $5 million to more than $30 million in revenue and was acquired by Sierra Wireless in 2007. At that time, Schmid became vice president of the mobile and M2M business unit at Sierra Wireless.

Schmid holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara.


Nadine Traboulsi, Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing

Nadine Traboulsi joined CalAmp in 2016 and currently serves as senior vice president of corporate marketing. Traboulsi is responsible for developing the strategic direction of corporate marketing at CalAmp, defining and building our world class brands, and supporting communication strategy for all business units. She oversees brand marketing, public relations and communications, social media and digital marketing.

Traboulsi brings extensive experience in strategy and brand development on some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Ferrari and Miracle-Gro. Prior to joining CalAmp, Traboulsi served as vice president of marketing and communications at Mobilitie, the largest privately-held wireless infrastructure provider. Traboulsi was responsible for establishing the marketing department as well as driving the strategy and positioning of Mobilitie across vertical markets and large wireless carriers. Earlier in her career, Traboulsi held key marketing and communication roles at Fortune 1000 companies.

Traboulsi holds a bachelor of science in Marketing, cum laude, from Northeastern University.


Monica Van Berkel, Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Monica Van Berkel joined CalAmp in 2015 and currently serves as senior vice president of human resources. Van Berkel is responsible for driving the strategic direction of human resources at CalAmp and ensuring alignment with the strategic direction of the company. With more than two decades experience at high tech companies, Van Berkel brings extensive knowledge and experience in working with large cross functional projects, mergers and acquisitions, cultural realignment, and proactive employee relations.

Before joining CalAmp Van Berkel served as the chief administrative office at EMCORE Corporation from 2004 to 2015 where she was responsible for both the human resources and information technology functions, setting their strategies and ensuring their alignment to the business. Earlier in her career, Van Berkel held key human resources roles at companies such as First Data Corporation, Gateway, Western Digital and Hoya Corporation.

Van Berkel holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in administration of justice from San Jose State University.
