CalAmp Announces New GPS-Based Tracking and Security System for Motorsports Vehicles

OXNARD, CA, Dec 03, 2009 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- CalAmp Corp. (NASDAQ: CAMP), a leading provider of wireless products, services and solutions, today announced the availability of its MST-110, a GPS-based tracking and security system for motorcycles, snowmobiles, dirt bikes, ATVs and similar motorsports vehicles.

Designed specifically for motorsports applications, the innovative MST-110 vehicle security system can pinpoint the location of motorsports assets and communicate that location via the global GSM wireless data network. An easy-to-use web-based software application completes a package that allows owners to know where their vehicles are at all times. In addition, user-defined alerts notify owners when their vehicles have been moved, if they are traveling too fast or have entered/exited a "geo-fenced" area.

"The MST-110 is the answer to the problem of motorsports vehicle theft. Whether your motorcycle is parked in your driveway, your ATV is at a storage lot or your snowmobile is at the family cabin, CalAmp's MST-110 knows where your vehicle is at all times, and can alert you when it's on the move," said Mike Zachan, CalAmp Aercept Division vice president and general manager.

The MST-110 security system includes all hardware, system activation and pre-packaged cellular airtime required for system usage. Renewal plans and additional airtime can be purchased online when needed.
